A woman was found dead Monday afternoon at a shopping center in the West Valley, police said.
Officers went to the center, 2020 N. 75th Ave., at about 3 p.m. Sept. 4 and found a woman dead “with obvious signs of trauma,” according to a release.
Detectives are investigating, and the medical examiner’s office will work to determine the cause of death.
The victim was identified Erika Gerardo, 37, police said Wednesday morning.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in the case, the release stated.
