Woman dies in Phoenix hit and run

A 60-year-old woman died Wednesday morning after being hit by a vehicle that left the area following the collision.

The accident happened about 5:45 a.m. Nov. 1 near 29th Avenue and Hazelwood Street.

Police responded to find Cheryl Lowe on the road where she died.

Detectives learned Lowe was crossing mid-block when she was struck by a vehicle that left the area.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO to leave an anonymous tip.
