Woman dies in car-pedestrian collision in central Phoenix

An unidentified 70-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night in central Phoenix, according to a release from the Phoenix Police Department on Thursday.

An unidentified 70-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night in central Phoenix, according to a news release from the Phoenix Police Department on Thursday.

According to the release, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Phoenix Police responded to a fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision that occurred near 300 E. Camelback Road.

The Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to assume the investigation.
