An unidentified woman was killed in a car-pedestrian accident Wednesday morning in south Phoenix, Phoenix Police said in a release late Wednesday.
Officers responded about 9:28 a.m. to the area of Seventh Avenue and Broadway Road regarding a collision involving a pedestrian, according to a release.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle in critical condition. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on the scene and transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene.
