Woman dies in 3-car collision on Thomas Road

A 21-year-old woman died Sunday morning at the scene of a three-car crash near 7th Avenue and Thomas Road.

The collision occurred about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 2. The driver of one of the cars, Trinity Celeste Brewer, had to be extricated from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates a man driving one of the vehicles involved was speeding and headed west on Thomas Road. He ran through a red light, police said, colliding  with the Brewer’s car, which was headed north on 7th Avenue and traveling through the intersection on a green light, police said.

A 21-year-old woman died Sunday morning at the scene of a three-car crash near 7th Avenue and Thomas Road.

The collision occurred about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 2. The driver of one of the cars, Trinity Celeste Brewer, had to be extricated from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary information indicates a man driving one of the vehicles involved was speeding and headed west on Thomas Road. He ran through a red light, police said, colliding  with the Brewer’s car, which was headed north on 7th Avenue and traveling through the intersection on a green light, police said.

Brewer’s vehicle struck the third vehicle.

 The driver of the primary vehicle involved was evaluated,  and signs of impairment were observed, according to a release. He was taken to a hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Charges will be determined pending further investigation, police said.
