Woman dies at hospital after McDowell Road crash

A 43-year-old woman died June 18  following a crash at the intersection of 59th Avenue and McDowell Road, police said Friday.

The collision occurred just before 11 p.m., and witnesses reported a pickup truck was speeding and did not stop at a red light, colliding  with a passenger vehicle, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.

The truck hit a light pole, and the other vehicle crashed into a business, police said.
