An unidentified woman was struck and killed early Thursday morning by a Valley Metro bus near 59th Avenue and West Van Buren, Phoenix Police said in a release.
Officers responded about 4:46 p.m. to the intersection of North 59th Avenue and West Van Buren Street for a collision involving a pedestrian and a Valley Metro bus, according to the release.
When officers arrived, they found a woman unresponsive and pinned under the front of the bus. The Phoenix Fire Department arrived on scene and pronounced the woman dead.
