(Metro Creative Connection)
A 19-year-old woman died following a Monday night crash at 40th Street and Loop 202, Phoenix police said.
Preliminary information suggests an SUV ran a red light while heading east on the 202 Freeway access road and collided with a car that was heading north on 40th Street, police said, adding impairment appears to be a factor for the SUV driver.
Four people, including three from the car, were taken to a hospital.

Four people, including three from the car, were taken to a hospital.
Jade Pedro, a passenger in the car, died from her injuries at the hospital, police said. The driver of the passenger car remains in the hospital in critical condition. The third occupant of the passenger car and the driver of the SUV were treated and released.
“The collision remains under investigation as detectives continue to process the evidence,” Phoenix police said in a release. “A charging decision will not be made until the investigation is complete.”
