Woman arrested, charged with murder in killing of father in Phoenix

A woman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the killing of her father in a west Phoenix neighborhood.

Reilan Anderson, 33, was arrested in connection with the death of her father, 61-year-old Reginald Anderson, after a shooting about 11:50 a.m. Thursday near 101st and Oregon avenues.

Police were called to the scene after reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found Reginald Anderson with at least one gunshot wound. Witnesses pointed to Reilan Anderson as the suspected shooter, according to a relase from Phoenix Police.

Reilan Anderson was eventually found and arrested in the town of Maricopa. Police said she has denied involvment in the shooting, according to the release.
