Woman accused of stealing $36,500 from Scottsdale school parent, teacher group

The woman accused of stealing $36,500 from the Cocopah Middle School Association of Parents and Teachers is in the Maricopa County Jail.

Nubia Gonzalez, 38, turned herself into Scottsdale Police detectives about 1:45 p.m. Aug. 13, according to the Scottsdale Police Department.

“No answers as to why this was done were obtained,”  Scottsdale Police spokesperson Sgt. Allison Sempsis  said in an email to the Daily Independent.
