Woman, 77, hit, killed crossing Thunderbird Road

A 77-year-old woman died at a hospital this week after being hit by a vehicle as she crossed Thunderbird Road midblock near 7th Street, police said.

The collision occurred about 9 p.m. June 19 when Barbara Jean Greenwell was crossing the road and was struck by the vehicle traveling west.

Impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
