Wisconsinites celebrate all things Badger State at West Valley event

“Brats, burgers, cheese, plenty of cheese and of course music entertainment.” This is Wisconsin culture according to Rick Foy, assistant chancellor of university advancement at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.

The smell of the Wisconsin certainly filled the air March 12 as people chatted, laughed and drank beer during the annual Wisconsin Day event at the Sun Bowl amphitheater in Sun City. The event kicked off at 10 a.m., but cars were still pulling into the packed parking lot as the clock neared 1 p.m. There were parts of the grass hill where it was difficult to get by because of how many people attended the event.

Foy came to Sun City from Wisconsin for this event, saying it’s absolutely worthwhile for him and the university to attend.
