SUN CITY WEST - Wilma P. Lawson, 93, of Sun City West, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012, She was born a Birthright Quaker on April 15, 1919 in Jefferson County, City of Packwood, Iowa to Tillman O. and Mary M. Utterback Johnson. Wilma moved from Rogers, Ark. to Sun City West in July of 2006. She joined Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, Ikebana International, and demitted to Chapter DQ of P.E.O. and stayed active until age 92. Her husband D. Keith Lawson predeceased her. Survived by her daughter, Judith K. Lawson of Sun City West; daughter, Sidney L. Young and Son-In Law Thomas E. Young of Sandy, Utah; and granddaughter, Lacey C. Young of Portland, Ore.; numerous nieces and one nephew. Memorial service was 10 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 in the Chapel at the Desert Palms Presbyterian Church, 13459 W. Stardust Blvd. Sun City West, Ariz. Cremation with inurnment in Ruddick Cemetery in Garfield, Ariz.
