Wilma Jean Benish, 88, of Norfolk funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, NE with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Home for Funerals in Norfolk, NE.Wilma Jean (Nelson) Benish left this world to join her husband, mother, father, brother and many friends in heaven. She died Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, NE.She and her husband, Lyle, lived their winter months in Sun City West, Arizona until 2007, and continued to visit friends made there they moved back to Norfolk year-round.Surviving Wilma are their sons Randall and his wife Corrine Benish of San Antonio, Texas, Richard and his wife Susan Benish of Stillwater, Minnesota, and Rodney Benish and longtime companion JoAnne Meyer of Norfolk; eight grandchildren, Ryan Benish and his wife Bethany, Travis Baker and his wife Misty, Seth Baker and his wife Kristin, Hollie (Benish) Hansen, Bryan Benish, Lauren Benish, Andrew Benish, Nicholas Benish; five great-grandchildren Anna Sofia Baker, Hudson and Wyatt Baker, and Parker and Reagan Hansen.Also surviving, sisters Violet Johnson and Donna and Larry Kortje, all of Norfolk; nephew Kevin Kortje; nieces Lori Endorf, Lynette Barg, Penny Kortje, and Karen (Benish) Casselman, and many great- and great-great-nephews and nieces.Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ina Nelson, her husband, Lyle, brother Lyle C. Nelson, sisters-in-law Myrtle Benish, Mabel (Benish) Brandenburg, Frieda (Busch) Benish, brothers-in-law Wesley Johnson and Roy Benish, and niece Carol (Keating) Benish.
