Murphy has both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Construction Management from ASU and has built a 25-year career at Willmeng. He purchased the company in 2006 and has helped it grow to be worth an estimated $1 billion.
Willmeng is a 100% employee-owned company and excels in both public and private projects. The firm was named ENR General Contractor of the Year in 2023, listed as the Top Industrial builders in the nation and holds multiple honors for its work in Arizona and beyond.
Murphy also serves as an associate faculty member in the Del E. Webb School of Construction, teaching Leadership Fundamentals. He hopes that this position as well as his role as a Trustee, will help create a stronger relationship with the construction and education communities.
