William Walter Frizell

SUN CITY WEST - William Walter Frizell (Bill) of Sun City West, Arizona passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Brookdale North Glendale Memory Care Residence in Glendale, Arizona. A native of Larned, Kansas, he was born on March 8, 1932 to William Walter and Idaesther Frizell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn Brown; an infant sister, Marion; and a son, Bradley Frizell. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Frizell of Sun City West; Bill's daughters, Christy (Kirk) Gray of Manhattan, Kansas, Carrie (Pascual DeJuan) Frizell of Barcelona, Spain; and son, Mark Frizell of Austin, Texas; his ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; Shirley's three sons, granddaughter and grandsons; Bill's sister, Sue Winter of Enid Oklahoma; his cousin, Judy (Clark) Redding of Larned, Kansas; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill grew up in Larned, Kansas and graduated from Larned High School in 1950 and attended Kansas University and graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Rotary International, Member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Benevilla Board of Directors, and the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. He served his country in the Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant. He was a Commodity Broker in Chicago, Rancher in Colorado, Banker in Texas, and property owner in Illinois and Sun City West, Ariz. Bill loved to travel the world, gardening, woodworking and being with friends. To honor his wishes there will be no funeral services. Interment of ashes will be in the Larned Kansas Cemetery with the Frizell Family. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Memory Care Navigator Program at the Sun Health Foundation, 14719 W. Grand Avenue, Surprise, AZ 85374.
