William B. Lord

William ('Bill') B. Lord, 80, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, with his wife and daughters by his side.Bill was born in Northfield, NH on March 2nd, 1937 to Raymond Lord and Blanche (Lord) Chapman. He graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine in 1955, then joined the U.S. Navy before continuing his education at Pace College in NYC. His career spanned more than 30 years in the healthcare industry.Bill is survived by his wife Barbara (Silver) Lord and mother-in-law Dorothy Silver of Sun City West, AZ, three daughters, Kelly Gilligan (Rick) of Amherst, NH, Valerie Igoe (Scott) of Wilton, NY, and Tara Hafey (Chuck) of Brentwood, NH, and one son, Bret Lord (Mary) of South Acworth, NH, eight grandchildren, a sister Fern Breton of South Portland, Maine, and brother Hugh Chapman (Lin) of Gilead, Maine as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Bill had many interests, among them fishing, hunting, golf, Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, sports, blackjack, classic books and movies, and anything Irish. He had a wealth of knowledge about each subject that he was always eager to share over a glass of Jameson. It meant a lot to Bill to still be able to enjoy a round of golf on Tuesdays with his buddies.The family will be holding a private celebration of his life at a future date.
