This seems to be a political-type stunt designed to draw folks into yet another argument that would end up being emotionally charged and totally unneeded at this time in Arizona or anywhere else.
If they want to name something after him, then change the name of the organization that he started to have his name on it. That would be a way to honor him without causing any uproar.

That said, surely our fine representatives have something better to do for the people of Arizona than to introduce this idea in the form of a bill or such.
How about they focus on public education, water issues or other local issues that need solutions and attention than worrying about what to call some section of a freeway in Arizona?
