Surprise residents never got to shop at an indoor mall along the Loop 303 — something promised two decades ago in Prasada.
But now that the Prasada project moved outdoors, its planned addition of a Whole Foods and other upscale stores and restaurants on the southeast corner of Sarival and Waddell is expected to turn Surprise into even more of a retail powerhouse in the West Valley.
Prasada East, the undeveloped area just east of the Village of Prasada and kitty-corner to Prasada North, is in the planning stages for the area that has already been ranked the No. 1 power center in the state and 10th in the nation based on foot traffic.
