Whole Foods, Harkins, apartments among plans for Paradise Valley Mall

Developer seeks change for simplified zoning

A Harkins dine-in theater, Whole Foods and mid-rise apartments are among plans for the redevelopment of Paradise Valley Mall.

The Costco, JCPenney and public library are remaining and will be open during construction.

Plans also include a small open-space park area next to the movie theater with indoor-outdoor restaurants on the perimeter. The existing parking garage will remain but be refurbished. It will remain for shopper use only. The apartments under construction will have its own parking garage.
