In observance of Memorial Day, the City of Tempe will close all administrative offices on Monday, May 25. 

Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember those who have lost their lives in military service. The City of Tempe salutes our fallen and gives thanks on this holiday.

Memorial Day Closures

Where in Tempe is open on Memorial Day

In observance of Memorial Day, the City of Tempe will close all administrative offices on Monday, May 25. 

Memorial Day is a day to honor and remember those who have lost their lives in military service. The City of Tempe salutes our fallen and gives thanks on this holiday. 

Public transportation, like the Orbit bus and light rails will operate on a Sunday schedule. 

The Tempe Public Library, Tempe History Mueseum and other historic places will be closed for the holiday.


PARKS AND RECREATION 

  • Kiwanis Recreation Center, 6111 S. All-America Way, will be open from noon to 6 p.m. (480-350-5201). 
  • Clark Park Community Center, 1730 S. Roosevelt St., will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (480-350-5208). 
  • Escalante Multi-Generational Center, 2150 E. Orange St., will be open from noon to 6 p.m. (480-350-5800). 

POOLS AND SPLASH PADS 

  • The Cloud at Kiwanis Park, Parque de Soza Splash Pad, Esquer Park Splash Pad and Jaycee Park Splash Pad are open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. 
  • Clark Pool will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. 
  • Escalante Pool is open from 1 to 5 p.m. 
  • Kiwanis Wave Pool will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. 
  • McClintock Pool will be open from 6 to 9:30 a.m. 
  • Regular summer season hours begin June 1. For more information on Tempe aquatics, please visit tempe.gov/pools.
