Westbrook Village posse on road to recovery

Group lost 65% of staff during pandemic

When the pandemic struck in March of 2020, facilities shut down in the nearly 4,000 home retirement community of Westbrook Village that spans 6 square miles.

But the independently operated posse within the community carried on with a skeleton crew of 21 and continued to provide security services to the roughly 7,000 residents.

From March to August, Commander Mike McDade ran the posse out of his garage, shut down the night shift and restructured the program for COVID-19 precautions.
