West Valley temple increases security amid safety concerns

As congregants gathered for the Passover seder on the first night of the holiday April 1, a quiet yet visible change surrounded Temple Beth Shalom, 12202 N. 101st Ave.

The temple recently announced added security will patrol its grounds during Friday night Shabbat services and holidays.

Sara Jane Feldman, temple board president, said the reason for this addition is the growing antisemitism worldwide along with the ongoing war in the Middle East.
