West Valley teacher’s aide jailed as suspect in school threat

A teacher’s aide is in jail “after threatening to shoot up her school in a social media post,” Buckeye police stated in a Wednesday release.

The Buckeye Police Department received a tip Tuesday afternoon about a possible threat of a school shooting posted to an Instagram account, authorities said.

Information about the location where the post was made came back to Westpark Elementary School, and Buckeye police said detectives were able to identify the suspect behind the post as Sharde Booker, 21, a para-professional employed at the school.
