West Valley teacher's aide indicted for sexual conduct with student

The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office indicted a 22-year-old teacher's aide at a West Valley school on six counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, the office announced in a press release Monday.

According to the release, Jessenia Rodriguez, an aide at Sun Valley Academy in Avondale, alledgedly engaged in inapppropriate conduce with a minor student, accoding to the indictment.

The investigation began after the victim’s stepmother alerted school officials to the relationship and contacted law enforcement, leading to Rodriguez’s arrest on April 16.
