West Valley Symphony slates new season in Surprise

The West Valley Symphony, first incorporated in 1968 as The Sun City Symphony Orchestra and since renamed the West Valley Symphony in 2004 to better represent the audience it serves, continues to perform symphonic music Sunday afternoons, November through April.

The symphony’s six-concert season takes place 3 p.m. Sundays at The Vista Center for the Arts, 15560 N. Parkview Place. The symphony’s box office services are handled by The Vista and new series and single tickets are on sale now. Box office hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 623-523-8888 or 623-523-8890 or thevistaaz.com.

The 2023-24 season begins Nov. 12 with Russian Reveries and Ukraine-born pianist Vladimir Khomyakov performing Prokofiev’s Concerto No. 3. On Dec. 17, the West Valley Chorale, directed by Ken Goodenberger, will join the symphony and Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg in The Spirit of the Season concert.
