Police identify victim in deadly West Valley stabbing

Detectives have identified 50-year-old Rahsharil Goodson as the victim in a fatal April 6 stabbing.
Phoenix police officers responded to a fight near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road about 5:10 p.m. April 6 and found Goodson with at least one stab wound. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
“Officers at the scene were advised of a direction that the suspect ran from the scene, at which time officers established a perimeter. With the assistance of the air support unit, the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Michael Espinoza, was arrested,” police stated in an earlier release.

Detectives have identified 50-year-old Rahsharil Goodson as the victim in a fatal April 6 stabbing.
Phoenix police officers responded to a fight near 59th Avenue and Indian School Road about 5:10 p.m. April 6 and found Goodson with at least one stab wound. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
“Officers at the scene were advised of a direction that the suspect ran from the scene, at which time officers established a perimeter. With the assistance of the air support unit, the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Michael Espinoza, was arrested,” police stated in an earlier release.
Homicide detectives took over the investigation, and authorities learned that the suspect threatened others with the knife used in the stabbing, police said. Espinoza was interviewed by detectives prior to being booked into jail on multiple charges, including murder and aggravated assault.
