A woman died Friday in Peoria from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, and a man was found in critical condition from a shooting that occurred earlier inside a vehicle, police said.
Officers responded about 11:15 a.m. to a parking lot near North El Mirage Road and North Vistancia Boulevard regarding a shooting involving two people inside a vehicle. “Witnesses had heard a loud ‘pop’,” a Peoria Police Department release stated.
Police found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital where he remained in critical condition late Friday afternoon.
