A Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office task force this week uncovered drugs, guns, jewels and cash during a search of a Tolleson home.

A search warrant was executed Dec. 12 by Maricopa County Drug Suppression Task Force detectives, according to MCSO.

“Over the monthslong investigation, detectives investigated a group of suspects selling thousands of fentanyl pills,” a release stated.

“Detectives made several arrests and were able to determine that 19-year-old Fredy Benjamin Medrano-Erenas was the source of the pills.”

Medrao-Erenas was using social media to sell fentanyl pills, black-market THC products and guns, authorities said.

The search took place the home near West Lower Buckeye Road and South 91st Avenue and uncovered:

  • 72,000 fentanyl pills
  • 748 grams of cocaine
  • 3320 grams marijuana flower
  • 5995 grams of THC cannabis
  • 339 THC vape carts
  • $124,544 (approximately) in cash
  • 2 rifles (one with full-auto option)
  • 12 handguns
  • Jewelry

“The black-market THC products, guns, fentanyl pills, cash and all other items were found throughout the property,” the MCSO release stated.

Medrano-Erenas was booked into jail on  money laundering,  drug and other charges, officials said.

“We continue to focus on protecting the young adults in our community through agency collaboration and good teamwork. MCSO will continue to investigate and aggressively pursue criminals who threaten the safety of our community,” Sheriff Paul Penzone said.
