West Valley Loop 101 expansion nearly done

On-, off-ramps frontage roads will wrap in February

Technically, the $140 million expansion of Loop 101 between Interstate 17 and 75th Avenue will be finished by early summer 2027.

However, the loop expansion to five lanes in each direction should wrap before October ends. And the finishing touches on the freeway’s network of associated on- and off-ramps, frontage roads and bridges should be complete in February.

Significant chunks of this Arizona Department of Transportation project wrapped earlier than expected.
