West Valley companies offer a solution to e-waste

The top 25% of laptops, those three to four years old, are refurbished and sold through Emerald, Dragon said. Emerald sells electronic devices that are 15 years old to a responsible e-recycling facility.

Before tossing that mound of knotted wires, old, boxed televisions and laptops that stopped working years ago, consider donating your collection of electronic detritus to an e-waste recycling company.

When getting rid of unwanted household electronic items, the Environmental Protection Agency promotes the long-term value in disposing of E-waste properly.

The EPA defines E-waste as, “…used electronics that are nearing the end of their useful life.”
