West Valley city lands Whole Foods after incentive deal

Peoria City Council approved a development agreement with a sales tax incentive provision to secure a new mixed-use project named Travesio that includes a specialty grocer.

That grocer is a 30,000-square-foot Whole Foods as the project anchor at the southeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Yearling Road.

The contract is with developer SimonCRE C90 III, which has agreed to build public infrastructure that will be reimbursed by the city.
