West Valley Chorale slates auditions for upcoming season

The West Valley Chorale will be holding auditions for the 40th anniversary performance season 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd.
It is a 15-minute, low-key audition. The singer should prepare a song to sing. An accompanist will be available, so bring a copy of the music for her.
All are welcome to audition but basses and tenors are especially encouraged to apply.
The group rehearses 2:45 to 5 p.m. Mondays at Shepherd of the Hills and begin rehearsals for its Dec. 5 and 7 concerts the first Monday after Labor Day (Sept. 11).
It will resume rehearsals in early January and work on its spring concerts, which are performed April 2 and 4.
All those auditioning will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster(s) at the audition with one exception.
Complete an audition request form available at westvalleychoraleaz.org for details. Annual dues are $50.
Individuals will be contacted to set up an audition time. For those wanting to audition but are unavailable on Sept. 5, an alternate date can be arranged.
