West Valley Chorale announces 40th anniversary December concerts

The West Valley Chorale, directed by Ken Goodenberger, with Christine Kyhn, principal accompanist, is celebrating its 40th anniversary and announces a slate of December concerts.
The first concert is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at American Lutheran Church, 17200 N. Del Web Blvd., and the second is 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church, 13658 W. Meeker Blvd.
The theme of the concerts is “America in Song,” featuring compositions by American composers Leonard Bernstein, Randall Thompson, Eric Whitacre, Morten Lauridsen and more.
Tickets are available for advance purchase from West Valley Chorale members or can be ordered from westvalleychoraleaz.org/reserve-tickets.
In addition to these two concerts, the West Valley Chorale will join the West Valley Symphony in a special performance, “The Spirit of the Season,” featuring holiday music 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Vista Center for the Arts, 15660 N. Parkview Place.
