Phoenix police detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred during an argument Friday night in the western part of the city.

Officers went to a home near 86th and Minnezona avenues about 7:05 p.m. Oct. 18 after police received a report of shots being fired, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.

They arrived to find a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Fire department personnel responded and took the man for treatment. Officers also learned that a second victim was taken to a hospital by witnesses.

Andrue Encizo, 25, had a gunshot wound and died from his injuries, police said Saturday.

Detectives detained “multiple individuals” and took them to police headquarters for questioning. They were released pending further investigation.

“Preliminary information indicates all the individuals involved in the shooting are known to each other, and an argument occurred between the group,” the release stated.

Shots were exchanged during the argument, police said.

A final charging decision will be made once the investigation is complete, according to the release.
