Weekend work: Crews will be closing lanes, restricting ramps along Loops 101, 202, SR 51

Valley drivers traveling from Friday night until Monday more need to prepare for freeway restrictions along sections of Loops 101 and 202 along with State Route 51, state transportation officials said.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra time and follow detours while traveling these roads Oct. 9-12:

  • Eastbound Loop 101 will be closed between 75th and 51st avenues from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a widening project.
