Two Valley freeway closures for improvement projects are scheduled over the weekend, and other lane and ramp restrictions will be in place, state transportation officials said Thursday.
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to allow extra travel time and use suggested detours from Friday night, April 17, until Monday morning, April 20, in these areas:
- Northbound State Route 51 will be closed between Interstate 10 (Mini-Stack Interchange) and Colter Street (north of Camelback Road) from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for surface asphalt removal as part of a pavement improvement project.
