Weekend improvement projects close SR 51, Loop 101 sections

Road closures and lane restrictions are planned this weekend as crews work on improvements along several Valley freeways.

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to be careful in work zones and allot extra time if they are traveling in the following areas from Friday night, May 29, until Monday morning, June 1:

Southbound State Route 51 will be closed between Indian School Road and Interstate 10 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.
