East Valley freeways will be the focal point for road improvement this weekend.
Closures or lane restrictions for improvement projects are scheduled along several freeways from Friday night, June 12, until Monday morning, June 15. Arizona Department of Transportation officials advise drivers to allow extra travel time and use detour routes for these weekend freeway restrictions:
- Southbound SR 51 will be closed between Indian School Road and I-10 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for a pavement improvement project.
