CRAFT SALE: The Springtime Extravaganza Craft Sale runs 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Happy Trails Resort, 17200 W. Bell Road.

LIVE MUSIC: The Encore Big Band performs at 5 p.m. at Birt’s Bistro, 16752 N. Greasewood St. Cover charge is $5.

LIVE MUSIC: Steve Klassen performs at noon at Birt’s Bistro, 16752 N. Greasewood St.

LIVE MUSIC: United States Navy Band’s Sea Chanters Chorus performs at 7:30 p.m. at the Del E. Webb for the Performing Arts, 1090 S. Vulture Mine Road, Wickenburg. Admission is free.

EVENT: “Women Who Changed the World” is the topic of a celebration of Women’s History Month sponsored by the Sun Cities/West Valley Chapter for Women. It is open to the public.Sherry Koopot, a Phoenix Art Museum docent, will present a slide show of paintings, photos and sculptures depicting women who made an impact over a span of millennia. The event begins at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 17540 Avenue of the Arts. Cost is $15 and proceeds go to scholarships and other programs benefiting women.

LIVE MUSIC: The Jaty Edwards Band performs at 9 p.m. at Irish Wolfhound Restaurant and Pub, 16811 Litchfield Road, No. 104.

LIVE MUSIC: The John Leo Group performs at 5 p.m. at Birt’s Bistro, 16752 N. Greasewood St.

3/11 SUNDAY

FESTIVAL: The Sunday in the Park Food Truck Festival runs 4-8 p.m. at 8-Acres Park, 15960 N. Bullard Ave., and every second Sunday of the month through May. The city has partnered with State 48 Brewery for a free family-fun event featuring food trucks, live bands and a beer tent. Bring lawn chairs, blankets and dancing shoes. Live music provided by The Spirited Lads. Call 623-222-2000 for information.

STORIES: AZ Humanities presents Arizona Stories, featuring frontier characters and communities including mining booms, cattle drives and diversity. Hear how Arizona developed from a violent frontier to the society we have become today. The event runs 11 a.m.-noon inside council chambers, 16000 N Civic Center Plaza.
