The city of Surprise is working with two members of Arizona’s congressional delegation to provide updated information about the controversial ICE facility that is planned to open in the fall.
City Manager Andrea Davis told the city council on June 16 that the city is working with the offices of Sen. Mark Kelly and Rep. Paul Gosar to create a website with centralized information about the ICE project and appropriate contact information.
“That is actually going to come directly from our federal elected officials— putting residents in contact with the federal officials since it is a federal matter, making sure they get the information directly from them,” Davis told the council.
