Webb Center presents free patriotic concert

Posted

A free concert at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, 1090 S. Vulture Mine Road, in Wickenburg, is 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, featuring the Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band as they present “This We’ll Defend.”

The video-integrated program is a patriotic concert experience including the big band sounds of the 1940s to the contemporary hits of today in honor of Veterans Day.

Join America’s Big Band as they celebrate military service through music and storytelling.

Formed in 1969, this 19-piece ensemble is a touring jazz orchestra of the United States Army. An audition process draws candidates from leading conservatories, universities and the professional ranks.

Many members of the Jazz Ambassadors have civilian performance experience. Alumni have gone on to careers in university teaching, studio recording and performance.

Admission to this performance is free as a public service from the Department of the Army.

Reserve tickets by visiting dewpac.org or by calling the Webb Center box office at 928-684-6624.
