Wayback Burgers building first Arizona location in Gilbert

CHESHIRE, Conn. — Wayback Burgers last week announced a lease signing to open a new restaurant in Maricopa County this fall.
The restaurant, located at 1110 S. Gilbert Road in Gilbert, will be the first Wayback Burgers location owned and operated by local franchisees in the Copper State and is projected to add 30 new jobs to the local economy.
“We are pleased to continue the expansion of the Wayback Burgers brand with the signing of our first Arizona location in Gilbert,” said Patrick Conlin, President of Wayback Burgers. “It is an exciting time to be a part of the Wayback Burgers family. We’re excited to work with Ramesh Velupillaimani and hope to introduce the Wayback Burgers we know and love to new guests and communities throughout Arizona.”
Wayback Burgers offers a variety of burgers, cheesesteaks, crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, Impossible Burgers, chicken tenders, fresh salads and sides. Wayback Burgers is also famous for its hand-dipped milkshakes.
“I’m looking forward to sharing the Wayback Burgers experience with the Gilbert community, especially the hand-dipped milkshakes and my personal favorite, the double bacon burger,” said Ramesh Velupillaimani, local franchisee. “Wayback Burgers’ exceptional customer service initially attracted me to becoming a franchisee. I look forward to the possibility of opening additional Wayback Burgers locations in Arizona and hope to help expand the restaurant’s local footprint.”
The Gilbert location will encompass an 1,807 square-foot design, offering a lighter and brighter dine-in experience. With a modernized kitchen visible through glass windows and a pass-through, Wayback Burgers’ new design allows guests to see their food as it is prepared.
Furnishings will also include a variety of seating options, including upholstered banquettes, booths and floating and community tables.
