Water, wastewater treatment rates expected to rise in Florence

EPCOR said it’s raising rates to help fund improvements

EPCOR is raising its rates and the Florence Town Council is none too happy about it.

At the Monday, April 5, council meeting, EPCOR officials gave a presentation of proposed changes coming now that it has fully purchased Johnson Utilities. 

The system formerly known as Johnson Utilities it is now called the San Tan District of EPCOR.  The 160-square-mile service area serves approximately 29,450 water and 40,160 wastewater customers in the communities of Florence, Queen Creek and unincorporated San Tan Valley in Pinal County.
