The city of Litchfield Park released a statement Tuesday indicating the water in the city was safe to drink despite reports from Liberty Utilities stating otherwise.
In a message posted on Facebook Tuesday, the city said Liberty Utilities informed customers that the water was not safe.
“Liberty Utilities sent out a message to their customers today stating the water in Litchfield Park is not safe to drink. Liberty has informed the city that the message was a mistake, it wasn't spam, and that the water is safe to drink,” they wrote. “If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call Liberty Utilities at (844) 367-2030. Thank you.”
