Water main break closes section of Alma School Road

Posted

The southbound lanes of Alma School Road are expected to remain closed between Sandpiper Drive and Ocotillo Road in south Chandler through the weekend, city officials said.

Sandpiper Drive is the first traffic light south of Queen Creek Road.

The section of road was damaged May 29 by a water main break.

Paving crews were scheduled to repair the damage beginning Friday morning.

Late Friday, in a news release, Chandler officials said the lanes of Alma School Road are still closed,  and because of the extensive damage, the city expects the work to be completed by early the week of June 2.
