Water flowing to Rio Verde Foothills

Many blaming each other for crisis

More than nine months after it was shut off, the wet stuff is flowing again for residents of Rio Verde Foothills who rely on hauled water.

The final pieces of the puzzle were put in place Oct. 6, with private water haulers beginning to fill up at a City of Scottsdale-owned standpipe at 7 a.m. on Oct. 9.

“We’re extremely pleased to confirm that a water solution that Rio Verde Foothills homeowners and their families can count on for clean and reliable water service is now in place,” Senior Vice President of Regulated US Water for EPCOR Shawn Bradford said in a written statement. “EPCOR water will begin flowing to Rio Verde Foothills residents.”
