Surprise has two classes in February for residents to learn how to take better care of their yards.
“Water Wise Landscape Watering Programming: A Basic Irrigation Controller” will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Water Education Center, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza. Join the city to learn how to program a basic irrigation controller.
“Integrated Pest Management And You” is scheduled for 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24. The city said IPM is the most sensible, economical, and sustainable method of managing pests in any situation with the least possible risk to people, property, and the environment.

Residents can learn how to emply IPM techniques at home to remove rodents, insects or other unwanted critters.
