John Wayne was a Nixon guy. He was not a fan of John F. Kennedy. After JFK narrowly defeated Nixon in 1960, Wayne responded like a Conservative Patriot: “I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my president, and I hope he does a good job.”
John Wayne didn’t use JFK’s narrow victory as an excuse to valorize Soviet Communism at the expense of American Democracy. He didn’t express his disappointment by siding with Fidel Castro or Nikita Kruschchev. John Wayne was part of a Republican party that believed in America.
We’re Americans. Like him or not, Joseph R. Biden is our president. We should be standing behind our commander in chief and rooting for American values to survive, not to wither in the face of Russo-Chinese Communism or Islamofascism. Free enterprise can’t exist without freedom.
Stand behind America. Stand behind our international allies. Stand against enemies of our republic, foreign or domestic.
