Wanda Marie Hurlbut, passed away June 3, 2017. She was born on September 11, 1935 to Alvas B. Jones and Vera Page Jones in Hughes County, OK.Her parents lived on a farm and later acquired a small grocery store. Her mother died when she was very young. Her early years were spent in Oklahoma. She graduated high school at Holy Names Convent School in Oakland, CA and then attended Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. There, she married Arthur G. Hurlbut, Sr. at the 1st English Lutheran Church on June 11, 1955. Arthur spent 20+ years in the military and so they moved often, making a home at each place. They were married 52 years and had 4 beloved children.Arthur passed away November 3, 2007. Wanda is survived by her children: Arthur, Jr., Carl and Paul of Casper, Wyoming and Eugenia Bartolomei, of Scottsdale, AZ. Also, 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Evans and Monica Bartolomei of Scottsdale; and Benjamin, Andrew and Sidney Hurlbut of Casper, WY and 2 great grandchildren: Caleb and Abraham Evans.Services have been held at Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Sun City West, AZ.
